Clinic operation on account of Coronavirus
Consults during Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Behavioural Neurotherapy Clinic continues to provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Listed below are the current measures we have applied to comply with the latest Victorian Government public health requirements and current rules:
Restrictions on face-to-face sessions
We offer telehealth and remote sessions where possible, to minimise unnecessary face-to-face contact. Please consult with your psychologist if you think your situation qualifies for face-to-face sessions and your clinical needs will be discussed.
Wearing of masks or face coverings
We encourage the wearing of a face mask for face-to-face appointments in the clinic. There are exceptions for clients in some circumstances. Please consult with your psychologist to discuss this further.
Please NO attendance at the clinic when unwell
Clients are asked to reschedule any face-to-face appointments or convert to remote, if they or anyone in their household are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, or have any symptoms of illness, including:
- fever/chills
- cough
- runny nose
- loss of smell/taste
- sore throat
- headache
- muscle pain
- stuffy nose
- nausea
- shortness of breath
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
To further reduce the risk for others attending the clinic, we are taking the following steps:
- Clients will be asked to wait in their car instead of the waiting room, and will be called in when their practitioner is ready. In this way the waiting room will be mostly empty at all times.
- Hand sanitiser will be provided for compulsory use when arriving and leaving.
- During consultations and testing (IQ tests/Assessments) there will be a 2 metreseparation between the client and the practitioners, including the use of desk shields.
- QEEGs will proceed as normal, but with the technician wearing a mask and disposable gloves.
Please rest assured that all our staff are fully vaccinated to keep our families safe.
We understand that some of the rules can be challenging. BNC is working hard to continue to provide psychological care for our clients. We ask that you please adhere to these guidelines to reduce the risk of COVID-19.Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Please contact BNC Reception (03) 9848 9100 if you have any concerns.
